Cage
Ladders (CG) Required above 20' (6.096m) vertical
climb
Exterior
cage ladders shall use heavy duty 6063T-5 aluminum
radiused corner extruded side rails, with integral
42" (1066.8mm) walk-through. Cage ladders will be
24" (1008.8mm) wide with 2" (50.8mm) deep steps at
12" (304.8mm) intervals having all step fasteners
enclosed and protected to prevent tampereing or vandalism.
All edges shall be clean, smooth, burr-free and rounded.
Cage hoops shall be all aluminum, 0.187" (4.75mm)
x 2" (50.8mm). Bottom hoop to have an 18" (457.2mm)
radius. All others shall have a 14" (355.6mm) radius
with #3021 stainless steel fasteners.
Rest
Platform
Rest platforms as required at 30" (762mm) intervals
shall be all aluminum, with a 24" (1008mm) x 36" (914.4mm)
x 0.250" (6.35mm) expanded aluminum walk surface.
Railing shall be 1.5" (38.1mm) aluminum pipe with
rounded corners, enclosing both ladders.
